My second lightbulb piece. It's more of a companion to the previous one than an ongoing series. Although I certainly can't rule out creating another! This piece is symbolic of my love for the ocean and how I'm drawn, or seduced, by it. It also represents a light in that it's a place where I often find renewal, relaxation and peace. I thought of making more moths, but was compelled to stop at three. There's a lot of smybolism in the number three and the triangle that they form. But honestly, my thinking was a bit more shallow than that. I was thinking more of their color and how representative of peace that they feel. It just gives me a peace to look at them. This piece measures 24"W x 36"H 1"D. The canvas wraps around the edges and the edges are painted black. It comes ready to hang with wire attached.
